If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s the basic fact that I. Love. Food. Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Filipino are my favourite cuisines and I always, always, always find myself driven by the need to satisfy my cravings for dumplings, sushi, KBBQ, Filipino BBQ (especially the one that’s a little bit reddish in colour, just like the ones from Larsian’s).
Even with my big love for food, I just want to point out that I’m no food expert and I have yet to learn the ins and outs of writing a good (satisfactory…) post on food, and I hope you’re willing to join me on that journey haha!
Okay. So. Last weekend, my family and I had late lunch at Paradise Dynasty, a Chinese restaurant in S Maison at Conrad Manila. If I made a list of my Top 5 Favourite Chinese Restaurants, Paradise Dynasty would easily claim the first place.
Since we arrived after the lunch hour rush, we didn’t have to queue and we were able to be seated right away. Our table was at the far end of the restaurant, and we had a nice view of Manila Bay.
Ordering at Paradise Dynasty is easy as pie. The wait staff assigned to your table will first hand you the restaurant’s menu, and then an order sheet. After choosing items from the menu, you would have to look for the item on the order sheet, and specify how many orders you would like.
Table Setting at Paradise Dynasty — a cup for the house tea, a Chinese spoon / duck spoon, a pair of chopsticks, and a small plate that can be changed upon request. There aren’t extra napkins on the table, so if you would like more, you would have to ask the wait staff.

Paradise Dynasty is famed for their Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao, a medley of 8 different flavours, but in my honest opinion, the Signature Original still beats it. The perfect balance of the meat and the soup all wrapped in thin dough makes Paradise Dynasty a place to always go back to.

The perfect word for Paradise Dynasty’s Lettuce Roll is “refreshing.” Dip the Lettuce Roll in the Sesame Sauce, take a bite, and you would automatically feel much cooler. This, I highly recommend.

This vegetable dish is just as good on its own, or when paired with rice. I enjoyed it quite a lot. π

I ordered a plate of rice, just something to pair with all the viands.

The Pork Dumpling is a MUST TRY. This is my favourite dish in Paradise Dynasty. If I have this and a plate of Yang Zhou Fried Rice, I’m already good and I’ll be walking out of the restaurant with a smile on my face.

The Steamed Chinese Bun is another favourite. It comes with condensed milk as a dip. I like having this for dessert, since it’s actually pretty heavy.

Dining at Paradise Dynasty is something I always look forward to, and my stomach always relaxes back with joy after every meal. (no joke)
